Let's Eat: Tripping Over Himself description

This event is sold out.

Join Shaun Micallef for dinner as he talks with Anne Pender about his thirty-year career as a sketch comedian, actor, writer and creator of hundreds of television extravaganzas. The Adelaide-born, one-time lawyer reflects on his work in comedy and its place in his life as escape, mask and reason to live. Micallef gave us Mad as Hell (172 glorious episodes), appeared in Full Frontal (remember Fabio’s Love Tips), Sea Change, Talkin’ Bout Your Generation and much more. Who knows? Maybe he will demonstrate his unique dancing abilities. Don’t miss it.

But this is not just any conversation: it’s a culinary experience that will tantalise your taste buds and leave you wanting more. We will be showcasing the best of South Australian produce with a menu curated to perfection by East End Cellars' Executive Chef, Josh Lansley. And for dessert? A decadent chocolate cremeux, The Food Forest pistachio biscuit.

Presented by East End Cellars and the University of Adelaide as part of Let's Eat!

Facilitator: Professor Anne Pender, Kidman Chair in Australian Studies & Director, J.M. Coetzee Centre for Creative Practice, University of Adelaide
